Science, Sensory, and Technology Room
We are excited to announce the opening of our new Science, Sensory, and Technology room in the Summer of 2024. The Science, Sensory, and Technology room, or SST will be an extension of our traditional preschool classroom, providing children with hands on, child directed, and teacher led exploration of a wide variety of science areas such as animal and insect biology, astronomy, plant life, basic chemistry, geology, and much more.
Explore various textures ranging from gooey Slime, sticky Moon Mud, gritty Kinetic Sand, squishy Play Dough, stiff Sculpting Clay, and more in the Sensory Table area.
Our IPad Technology Center will give children hands on opportunity to use an IPad to play educational games that promote learning and reinforce skill building, listen to Read Along children’s story books, and choose a wide variety of fun children’s music to listen to.
The highlight of the SST room will be the celestial star filled ceiling. Sit back and relax in the zero gravity chair as you listen to relaxing music, while staring skyward at the star filled ceiling above, powered by fiber optics lights twinkling down at you.
